Lovely cosy country-esque pub in between Clapham South and Clapham Common.
Open fire, open both sides which helps you kid yourself you’ve been on a long walk in the hills before snuggling down in a Yorkshire pub. Delicious traditional British pub food, with about seven regularly changing specials. The beef pie with mash was particularly scrumptious with big hunk of of tender rumps steak. I had the burger and added Stilton and Chorizo, the burger was huge and rare and yum and the extras were yummy. If it were me though i would have sizzled the Chorizo in a pan. The Bun was dry and plastic, it fell apart quite rapidly and the chips, admittedly hand-cut, were soggy. they needed about 5 more mins. Nice choice of Beers and you can get pudding for £3 extra on top of a pudding. A nice weekday lunch.
