Relaxed and cosy cafe only 3 minutes from my home, but pretty easy to get to from most of London via Northern line. The decor is stylish but not too modern or minimal. It fells really comfortable.
Lunch menu is very traditional and typical of many a cafe or pub lunch menu. Freshly prepared wraps, sandwiches, baps and baguettes (they have delicious fillings that are a cut above. Good choice of Burgers with extras available and served with a lovely newspaper lined metal wire basket full of delicious fluffy and crispy chips (all home made). Alongside delicious rich fair trade coffees on the drink menu are bottled beers, wines and a selection of classic cocktails. The atmosphere is lovely and it was surprisingly busy for a weekday lunchtime. Great place to meet friends for coffee and so much more personal than Cafe Nero and Starbucks across the road. Also perfect for a romantic little date. it’s the sort of place that will put you at you ease but it still feels special.
Dinner is a little more of an upmarket affair, though sticking to the rustic theme. It has a lovely hearty Mediteranean feel. The steaks looked delicious as did generally, all of the food!
